NYSC Releases Date For Commencement Of Batch A Stream II Orientation

NYSC this afternoon released the date for the commencement of the 2017 Batch 'A' Stream II Orientation Course. The orientation will run from Wednesday 26th July  to Tuesday 15th August, 2017

Only One Candidate Out Of Six Showed Up For Election Debate On TV In Kenya

A TV debate for  Kenyan  politicians hoping to become vice president in next month's elections went ahead with only one candidate in attendance. The solo attendee,  Muthiora Kariara  who is running with independent presidential candidate Japheth Kaluyu, answered questions for about an hour. Some of the candidates were not allowed to take part because they arrived late, while the main candidates for deputy president, the current holder of the office  William Ruto  and  Kalonzo Musyoka  of the opposition National Super Alliance, boycotted the debate. Viewers who tuned in saw a stage set with six podiums at the  Catholic University  of East Africa in Nairobi but only one of them was occupied. 

APC Youths Attack Peter Okoye For Slamming The Federal Government, Calls For His Arrest

A group in the All Progressives Congress(APC) known as APC youth renaissance, has called for the arrest of Peter Okoye of P-Square, for going on twitter to attack the Federal Government, over plans to ban entertainers from shooting musical videos and movies outside the shores of Nigeria. (Read here) After the announcement was made, a few celebrities took to their social media pages to react to the federal government's intending policy in the entertainment industry, but it is Peter Okoye of P-square who's getting poked at. In a statement released by the group's national secretary, Collins Edwin, the youth group went as far as describing Peter as a 'son of darkness'.
